Let go of your tendency to spend so much time making everyone else’s day perfect.

Spending time with children can remind us to believe in the magic of possibilities.

Big dreams are not just for kids; moms have epic aspirations too. Our dreams sustain us through the boredom of our routine, the challenge of tough times, and the unexpected twists and turns of life. Think of the dreams you had years ago that seemed so distant: to graduate, get a job, find a loving partner, become a mom. By now you’ve achieved some of them, or all of them. Don’t forget how far you’ve come when you fantasize about new dreams that seem so unattainable. It’s critical to find some time for your own desires, even if that means asking for help. A little self love is the best gift you can give yourself.

During busy times of the year like holidays and birthdays, moms can get especially stressed because we have so much to do -- planning, shopping, cooking, cleaning.

Every year I think I’m going to be more prepared for celebrations, holidays, and birthdays, but it rarely happens. I still have not bought all the gifts I want to give to my kids. I haven’t yet planned our meals.

No wonder some of us secretly yearn for the celebrations to be over. We enjoy arranging picture-perfect moments to make everyone else’s days special, but we shouldn’t become too burned out to enjoy it all ourselves. It’s time to remember you are the most important person in your own life; your children wouldn’t be in your family without you.

It feels so good to check off one more thing on your list:

Fed the kids dinner. Check.

Read them a story. Check.

Put them to bed. Check.

Cleaned the kitchen. Check.

Caught up on email?

Returned your friend’s call?

Wrote in your journal?

Or collapsed into bed instead!

We know it’s nearly impossible for moms like you to check off your own needs, because you’re so busy caring for everyone else.

I used to stress about all that, but not anymore. After learning some tricks from other moms and mentors, I figured out how to hack my way to getting through it all even when I’m way behind on my to-do list. Let go of your tendency to spend all your free time trying to make everyone else’s day perfect. It’s critical to find some time for your own desires, even if that means asking for help. A little self love is the best gift you can give yourself.

That’s why MomSub wants to give you a gift of time -- a few hours to focus on yourself. We find you a MomSub to watch or drive your kids. These are moms you already know or get to know. So you get to relax or do something you enjoy, while someone you trust takes care of your children. And that sounds like a great day for everyone!
