DIANE MOCA
Founder/CEO
Diane developed the idea for MomSub while feeling overwhelmed spending hours a day driving her kids to school and activities while trying to manage projects at work and home. She wanted a better way to find local moms and other caregivers who could help with carpools, child care, camaraderie and emotional support. After interviewing more than 100 moms about their biggest challenges, she discovered so many struggled to arrange and manage the right child care for their family.
Diane loves getting to know the stories of the moms who join MomSub and sharing their successes with our community. She first pursued her passion for learning about others by becoming a journalist, and went on to work for media companies ranging from CBS in Milwaukee to the Daily News in Los Angeles.
Diane discovered her entrepreneurial spirit after starting a side hustle for extra money. She eventually ran several of her own companies: a real estate investment firm, a lawn sign business and a video production studio.
Diane is a Chicago native who loves chess, bike rides, audiobooks, hiking, documentaries, dancing, karaoke, pub trivia, watch her husband's band and playing games with her son and daughter. She fulfilled a life-long dream sitting in the bleachers of Wrigley Field to watch the Cubs win game 5 on their way to capturing their first World Series championship in 108 years. Diane now dreams of a day when every mother who feels frustrated can turn to MomSub for trusted and reliable child care that brings her more calm, confidence and clarity. She believes in the power of positivity and persistence to achieve her goals. "If the Cubs can do it, I can do it!" is her motto.
